Help us study wildlife by running a motion sensitive "camera trap" on your property or public land. You get to look through the animal pictures, then upload them to us.

We will use the data to map trends in animal populations across the state and share the results with you.

Now signing up volunteers across the state!

Going on vacation this summer? Bring your camera trap! Candid Critters in encouraging all of our volunteers to use camera trap setup as an excuse to visit some of the most beautiful places in North Carolina this summer.  Take a nice long break to get a full camera deployment (3 weeks) or return for a second visit 3 weeks later, the perfect excuse for a much needed break!  Here are some of our favorite places to visit, fortunately we have permits for you to set cameras in all of them!
